MR LAWRENCE

With the permission of Nell Simons,
we will follow the life of Mr Lawrence,
 a rescued Newfoundland puppy,
who will hopefully become her service dog one day.

Mr.Lawrence's Story…

His Mom was left alone and pregnant in a condemned house and a lady would come once a week and feed her a can of green beans and a can of corn. Then when the babies were born she posted them on craigslist for sale at 3days old! Who does that? It makes me furious!
Fortunately, somebody saw the add and contacted the lady who has them now. She contacted the seller and bought the mom and the litter. Then she contacted the authorities and all of the dogs and cats in that property were taken and put in good homes. Now Taylor, the lady who has the puppies took them and Mom to the vet. The Mom, Fiona, is on supplements and good food.
Fiona had 10 puppies, but 2 of them died. After a few weeks Fiona has gained 10 pounds! We drove over 500 miles to go see them and it was worth every minute of it! Fiona is a really good mommy and she is soooo sweet! ...
The puppies were only 4 weeks so they were sleeping most of the time.

Now, this is how I found Mr. Lawrence...

I had a dream that I was with my daughter in what it looked like a Market and we went through this hall and there was this man, who looked very sick and had several dogs with him, and he was sitting on the floor holding a grey newfy puppy and he lifted him up and gave it to me. I've never seen a grey newfy before. He said he needed to get rid off them because he was sick so I said that I would take them and I woke up!
In the morning I was still thinking about this dream and it was almost painful?? I told my daughter (9years) about my dream and she said "don't worry Mommy, those puppies are going to be ok" I smiled and kissed her and she went off to school. So I went to my computer to work and did a search for grey newfies and the first result was Taylor's post! So I contacted her and this is what she said...
"First this litter is a very unique situation for us. I was contacted by a friend who saw a post of Newfoundlands puppies being sold at 3 days old! We knew this was basically giving the babies a death sentence. (the previous owner lost her home and had no other choice. sad for her as well) we bought every Single one and mother (Fiona)"
I had goosebumps all over! I couldn't believe it!

I don' know what brought us together, but I definitely believe that there is a reason for everything and I do not know what Mr. Lawrence and my purpose is, but I am listening…

He might not be that huge, gorgeous, grand, perfect Newfoundland, but he will be for me and I will give him a really good life, the one that he deserves. He might of gotten a rough start, but I promise he will have a smooth ride in this journey called LIFE!

Born 10/15/13
